CEMB Headquarters

CEMB ITALY

Since 1946, the headquarters has always remained in Italy, in Mandello del Lario, on the eastern shore of Lake Como. Over the years, the production units and design offices have been expanded and modernized, in line with the company’s growth and with constant investments to keep the heart and style in Italy.

In 1946 Luigi Buzzi designed the first balancing machine with a revolutionary solution, covered by patent. From 1946 to 1949 he built up the production of mechanical resonance type balancing machines followed by stroboscopic types particularly distinguished for their sensitivity and robust manufacture.

An engineering graduate from the Milan Polytechnic, Carlo Buzzi joined his father’s company in 1977, on the threshold of that information revolution destined to profoundly change production and management processes. Supporting his father in the management of the company, Eng. Carlo Buzzi gives impetus to new projects based on the latest digital technologies. Microprocessor applications for the automated management of balancing machines are born: real-time detection of operating parameters and tolerances, automatic correction of eccentricity, automatic correction of imbalances, pre-recorded balancing programs, graphic display of processing and statistics.

Anticipating the needs of the market. Propose original and innovative technical solutions. To seek the highest quality of the product. To achieve these objectives, CEMB invests a large percentage of its turnover in research and design, creating over time a highly professional and experienced technical staff.
With the help of the most modern design software, CEMB technicians follow each new project step by step: from the analysis of the characteristics to the definition of the specifications, from the realization of the prototype to the functionality tests. A test cabin is able to reproduce all the values of pressure, temperature, humidity and ionization levels existing on earth: the new machines can thus be tested in real operating conditions.

Ever since its establishment in 1946 thanks to the initiative of Luigi Buzzi, CEMB has exhibited the signs and characteristics which have enabled it to achieve a principal role in the production of balancing machines. Especially the ability to combine the requirements of both customer and the market. The ability to produce original and innovative technical solutions. Enthusiastic adaptation of organizational structures and production processes towards a single objective: the maximum quality of the product.

Over the years CEMB has perfected and enhanced its production technique, becoming a model of excellence: by combining the most modern lean manufacturing techniques with attention to detail and the competence of the staff, CEMB is able to offer quality products. and extraordinary durability.
Striving for continuous improvement, process optimization and definition of value from the customer’s point of view are just some of the guidelines that accompany the creation of each product.
